CALL FOR ART: Muralist Wanted!

The Madison Area Arts Alliance and The Rafferty Group are currently seeking an artist or team of artists to create a new mural at the Dollar General Market located at Second and Mulberry Streets. This project is a great opportunity to contribute to the Madison Cultural Arts District on a prominent 120-foot canvas. We are looking for a design that reflects Madison’s history, specifically the legacy of the "hometown market" and the historic corner stores that have shaped our downtown for generations.

The site is already prepped and painted, and the final mural will sit alongside a future pollinator garden and a new commissioned sculpture. Whether the design utilizes the building's natural architectural divisions or creates one continuous piece, we are looking for work that balances tradition with creativity.
